OTTO P2 TO ORDWAY AT SANDUSKY HY-MILER, OSWEGO WINGED CHALLENGE CLOSER

OSWEGO, N.Y. Otto Sitterly and the Nicotra Racing team got their 2022 season on the right track in late July and early August.

After scoring his first ISMA win of the year at the Sandusky Speedway Fast 40, Sitterly backed it up with a second-place finish to Mike Ordway Jr. in the prestigious Hy-Miler Nationals 100 Saturday night at Sandusky.

From there the team headed to their home turf, Oswego Speedway, and the third and final John Nicotra-promoted Oswego Winged Super Challenge on August 13. Sitterly started deep in the 20-car field and muscled his way toward the front of the pack in the No. 7 Bodnar chassis. He’d move into third late in the 60-lap feature and inherit second when leader Michael Barnes ran out of fuel with 10 laps to go. Sitterly would ride to a second consecutive P2 finish to Ordway, setting up a one-race showdown for the ISMA championship in September at Star Speedway in New Hampshire.
